In seventh grade, she decided she wanted to pursue a career in chiropractic to help people achieve optimum health without the use of medications and outside treatments. Her belief in the body’s ability to heal naturally without the use of medications and surgery led her to pursue a Doctorate degree from the original chiropractic college, Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. During her time at Palmer, Dr. MacKenzie specialized in Torque Release Technique to be able to adjust patients without twisting, cracking, or popping their spines. She is also certified in the Webster Technique to help mothers have easier pregnancies for both mom and baby by making sure the pelvis, ligaments, and associated muscles are aligned properly.
